The Karate Academy of Kempo (TKA)
(TKA Kempo) is a Traditional Martial Art with a foundation based on the old style of Kata and Weapons coupled with the new understanding of Pressure Points, Qi-Gong, Quadrant theory, and Modern Self Defence Techniques.This style will enable you to develop into a confident and capable practitioner of Kempo.
Kempo is mostly known as a mixed style that combines a heritage in Chinese martial arts, especially Shaolin, with karate (and sometimes called "Kenpo Karate"), often mixed with elements of other Japanese arts like jujutsu and aikijujutsu.
In Japan, Kempo can refer to a large number of different (and mostly unrelated) systems of martial arts, mostly stemming from families in the feudal period—the term Kempo being used as an abbreviation, since the names are long.
TKA is the culmination of Ryu Kyu Kempo and Shorinji Ryu Kempo.
Dragons
“Dragons” is an exclusively designed Martial Art program for (13yrs - 19yrs).It concerntrates on primary Self Defence and Weapons.
It has a more informal training style than a traditional martial art.
Even though students can advance through attaining Sashes the focus is on competency of the individual's Self Defence.
Junior Dragons
“Junior Dragons” is an exclusively designed children’s Martial Art program for (5yr - 14yrs).It promotes a controlled learning environment based around fun and team work. “Junior Dragons” builds and develops the children’s confidence as well as self discipline.
In our ever changing society, “Junior Dragons” gives children the strategies to help them survive.
Society appears to have moved further away from teaching our children self discipline, respect and personal values.The sucide rate is higher now in our children than ever before, so many children are troubled with a low sense of self worth and lack of direction.
Junior Dragons training gives the students a positive learning environment where demands and discipline is placed on them.
Through positive reinforcement that supports their moral judgment and integrity they succeed through each rank.
Quantum Advanced
Quantum Advanced is an organisation that lets Instructors, Senior kyu grades get together to demonstrate and share knowledge.Seminars and workshops are taken by senior instructors from a multitude of Martial Art styles to help expand the knowledge of Martial Artist's in general.
This is designed but not limited to the experienced martial artist who wants to complement his/her base style.
